i have this paper i have to do for my tech.society class and its about global warming. does it occur what can we do about it stuff like that. i have some information off the internet but I was wondering what you think and if you could help me.

Information about global warming and natural resource conservation…oil in particular? Example
I’ve heard stuff before about the literal millions of barrels of oil we would save if we all inflated our tires to the correct tire pressure. How do they know the correct number of people that are under inflating, or even if you are under inflating? Do they take into consideration the wind? The fact that you may be inflating properly but drive against the wind which will cause you to use more gas/oil. What about over inflating? Isn’t that more of a problem that under inflating? I mean over inflating causes the tire to wear more quickly on the center of the tire, thus causing it to wear out quicker, thus causeing you to have to buy a new tire. It takes 6.5 gallons of oil to produce a new tire, so wouldn’t it be better for the environment to under inflate? I hope you’re catching my sarcasm here. Just curious about where people get all the information about saving the planet they are always spewing? Any ideas? From the net? Because you know if they post a link to a website, or published paper then it has to be true…lol
Is the earth flat? Do a searth for flat earth theory and you’ll see there are people that believe that, and post ideas on it, so it must be true too..lol

So my teacher today told us we are going to be learning about “global warming” and doing so by watching Al Gore’s Movie “The inconvenient truth”. I can tell my teacher believes in Global Warming and is very biased. She is not showing us anything else stating what else could be the issue going on with the earth, she gave us a packet that she is grading us on, and she said it’s going to be on the final.
Is it legal to teach this? and if it is not can you give me information or a link to prove it, I am bothered how she is doing this.

I think Al Gore wrote the book Inconvenient Truth a little early in the game. All the information is not in yet, so I am wondering what everyone else thinks, or has studied, about this subject. Some say there is a giant planet heading toward us that will affect our poles, weather, etc. It is called Nibiru, and could be the Sumerian’s ‘Planet X’.

Please READ or at least LOOK at the NASA links on the sun’s cycles. Don’t assume that this is a question about Planet X, or Al Gore’s book. It is not.
NASA’s research has to do with sunspots that are coming in the future, please read their information. I am not saying Nibiru is coming, my opinion is that humans are not responsible for any of the cycle that is occuring, it is totally natural and has happened many times before, noted in history. NASA’s opinion seems to be that these sunspots are going to cause drastic warming in the very near future and they are photographing them. Whether the Mayans or anyone else predicted it, thinks Nibiru is coming, or it is caused by cigarette smoke, what I am looking at seems to be concrete evidence from NASA that it is sunspots and there is nothing we did or can do about it. Please read links.

In Earth’s past, we’ve mile-deep ice covering every inch of the planet, and other times polar ice caps were nonexistent. Why then would global warming not be a natural process? I’ve seen “An Inconvenient Truth” and the information it’s based off of is only 600,000 years of earth’s 4.6 billion year history, which is practically nothing. Does this mean that manmade global warming is a scam and that we should just let nature do its work and melt the polar ice caps and kill the polar bears?

my granddaughter has been runnign around the house talking about global warming and how its getting worse with time.
My question is, what can we do to slow down the process known as global warming? I know what it is, I just don’t know how to help!
Are there any websites where I can find lists of how to combat this natural disaster? Can any of you provide me with information as to how to fix teh situation/ things I can do to help? the situation?
